This year the Webelos II Arrow of Light ceremony will be done on Saturday 18 Feb, at the Hickory Creek Campsite (our usual campsites next to the fire pit). Den 5 The "Lunkers" would like to invite everybody in the Pack to join us for this important ceremony. Please bring camp chairs and be seated by 06:45pm, so the ceremony can start promptly at 07:00pm. Please can the Den Leaders let Kerry James (kerry_james@verizon.net 214-202-1812) know approx numbers of guests for catering as snacks & drinks will be served after the ceremony. Hope to see you all there.

It is time for each scout to renew their membership. The basic cost is $16.50 and Boys Life is an additional $12. Therefore the total cost is $28.50. If a family has more than one scout they can consider buying only one Boys Life. We will be collecting the fee at the Blue & Gold. Because of the Popcorn sales sucess the Pack Committee decided not to assess any Pack Dues for this Spring and likely we will not have a Pack dues later in the Fall. So this should be the only fee for the next 12 months! If this fee is a hardship please send an e-mail to Bruce White. We have scholarships available from a couple of sources.

On Saturday Feb 11th, 31 scouts in our Pack collect 855 items of food during the annual food drive. That's about 28 cans per each scout! Great job Pack 163!! 

Blue & Gold tickets ($8) are needed to gain entrance to the Blue & Gold banquet this year, these tickets are only available until Friday 17 Feb (this is for catering reasons - once the food is ordered amounts cannot be changed). The Pinewood Derby results are in. Congratulations to all the boys for some great cars and races. Four of the 5 top cars were Webelos 2 so they have really let their past experience help. Note in looking at the race times that we take the 4 best times and throw out the worst time. The times are then sorted and winners determined. Contact Bruce White if you have any questions.
