Prayer Garden service project

Posted on Sep 19 2021 - 8:31pm

The Scout Oath starts with “On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God”. On Saturday, October 2nd at 4pm we will gather at Trietsch’s Prayer Garden (located on the right-hand side of the church's front parking lot) to provide service to our Charter Organization through pruning, weeding, and planting.

Please bring gardening tools if you have them such as pruning sheers and loppers. Also bring gardening gloves and plenty of drinking water. You can also bring a bulb or two if you would like to plant something that will brighten the garden in the spring! Please register to let us know you are coming.

McAuliffe Flag Duty sign-up

Posted on Sep 19 2021 - 7:22pm

Please sign-up at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70a0545a8ae2ca46-mcauliffe8 to help our Pack with Flag Duty at McAuliffe Elementary!

Flags should be raised anytime between 7:15-7:45am and lowered, folded, and stowed in the office as soon as school is dismissed. The flags do not need to be raised in inclement weather.

Raising and lowering the flags is not a one-man job, so parents should plan to assist their scout(s) with Flag Duty if possible or arrange for a friend to help.

The sign-up also includes instructions on how to fold the flags and a reminder on flag etiquette.

Visit www.halfstaff.org to sign-up for email half staff alerts.

September Pack meeting

Posted on Sep 13 2021 - 2:18pm

Our first Pack meeting of the school year is coming up on Sunday, September 19th at 2pm at McAuliffe Elementary School!  Meet us on the upper patio outside McAuliffe's gym/cafeteria. Dress for the weather and bring your lawn chairs, (umbrellas for shade- if desired), and water. Returning scouts should wear their official uniform. "Cheerbox" raffle tickets will be handed out to scouts for (1) arriving on time and (2) wearing their official uniform. New scouts do not need to worry about wearing their official uniform yet. Hope to see you all there!

And don't forget that any scout with an online popcorn sale by Friday will be entered into a prize drawing.

Popcorn “take orders” starting soon!

Posted on Sep 13 2021 - 2:17pm

Scouts will be taste-testing popcorn and receiving their “take order” forms at the Pack meeting on Sunday, September 19th. Scout families will use their order forms to sell popcorn to their neighbors as well as local friends and family. The Pack receives a commission of all online and “take order” sales, which funds our activities, awards, and special events for the year! In addition to helping to fund their scouting activities, scouts learn many valuable skills by selling popcorn including goal setting, self-confidence, persuasion, and perseverance. Scouts also earn prizes for participating. Each scout that sells one popcorn item will receive a 2021 Popcorn Patch. Scouts that sell between $175-$2000 in popcorn will receive an Amazon gift card (prizes are not cumulative):
